earth repair

Ja Schindler, and many billion endomycorrhizae.

Last weekend I was lucky enough to attend the second day of a two-day bioremediation workshop, organized by Nance Klehm and hosted by my buddy Bea. It was team-taught by Leila Darwich, on tour promoting her book, “Earth Repair“, and Ja Schindler of “Fungi for the People” whose book of the same name comes out next year. Both taught basic low-tech plant, mushroom, and microbe-based bioremediation techniques for healing damaged soils and landscapes, and also self-care and detox for environmental activists, urban farmers, and anyone dealing with toxins in their environment (which is to say, everyone) using herbs and fungal extracts to support and heal. More on this weekend and the work we did in a future post!
